Welcome to the latest edition of Dublin Chamber Weekly. This week's issue has a special focus on the work of the Chamber's Enterprise Europe Network.

On the 1st April, the UK will introduce new import controls on certain goods, including a range of animal and plant products. This will mean that, in addition to the necessary customs formalities, Irish exporters exporting to the UK need to have their UK importer pre-notify the UK authorities of these goods, get the appropriate Export Health Certificate(s) from the Irish authorities and move the goods together with the Export Health Certificates(s).

In order to reduce the impact on Irish exporters, it is imperative to examine supply chains and organise the correct export/import documents needed. For more information click here.

The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) has been in place since autumn 2017. Three years into the Agreement, we can already see some of the huge benefits the Agreement has brought to European and Canadian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The Agreement covers a vast range of aspects including:

• Labour mobility 
• Investment
• Procurement

Dublin Chamber's International team is looking for companies to participant in a European a study on the Uptake of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by SMEs and Start-ups. CSR relates to the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society. This involves sustainability practices and integration of social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into business operations.

We are inviting participants to provide views on the drivers and barriers to higher CSR uptake between SMEs. Your contribution will allow for an investigation into what kind of policy support is available (or lacking) to companies willing to engage in CSR and sustainability practices across Europe.

The Covid-19 public health emergency prompted millions of European workers to work from home during the last year. Long periods of sedentary work, lack of physical exercise, isolation, blurring boundaries between paid work and private life, and stress are some risks associated with telework that may impact teleworkers' occupational safety and health (OSH). For this reason, employers and workers have to be aware of the telework-associated hazards and address them by implementing adequate preventive and control measures.
