Do Learn Finance - Online learning tool

Recently Dublin Chamber has joined together with other representative bodies to launch a new free online learning tool, www.dolearnfinance.com, to help the owners/managers of start-up, micro and small businesses to improve their financial management skills.

 

The Chamber and other groups, including the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland and Chambers Ireland, have come together to recognise the importance and value of promoting higher standards of financial literacy across the SME sector.

Equipping the EU's VAT system to tackle fraud in e-commerce and help small businesses grow

The EU's VAT system will be further equipped to tackle fraud in the e-commerce sector following new rules agreed last week by EU Member States. The new rules will enable member states to collect, in a harmonised way, the records made electronically available by payment service providers, such as banks. In addition, a new central electronic system will be set up for the storage of the payment information and for the further processing of this information by national anti-fraud officials.
