Education Fund supported by Mason Hayes & Curran LLP
Minister of State, Joe O’Brien TD launched the Engage & Educate Fund created by law firm Mason Hayes & Curran LLP and Rethink Ireland in partnership with the Government of Ireland. The €1.2 million Fund aims to back innovative projects that empower young people and adults through education, enabling people from marginalised communities to access game-changing education programmes. Flogas and the Galway International Arts Festival have won the award for Best Use of Creativity in the Community supported by Irish Life at the 2021 Business to Arts Awards. CT and NEP Ireland Present New Talent Opportunity
CT and NEP Ireland are launching a 2 year Graduate Training Programme for technical skills in the broadcast and AV industry. The joint programme will offer suitably qualified graduates the opportunity to learn real world skills across multiple disciplines including vision and audio operations, technical maintenance, rigging and associated skills. The trainees will be on full-time, paid contracts during their training and will be expected to successfully complete a number of industry certification courses during their term. Sleep Out for Homeless Awareness
Sleep out in your garden, for one night on Friday, June 25th 2021, and raise vital funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness. The Bar of Ireland's Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Appointment Service provides a fast and free service whereby the parties to a dispute can, if they agree, ask the Chairperson of the Council of The Bar of Ireland to appoint a Barrister to act as Arbitrator or Mediator to the dispute. Over 100 Million Honey Bees Monitored by Start–Up ApisProtect
ApisProtect have reached a milestone of monitoring over 100 million honey bees around the world and have also launched their first hobbyist monitor in Ireland prior to their European Launch later this year. Dr Fiona Edwards Murphy, CEO and Co-Founder of ApisProtect, highlighted the importance of using IoT (Internet of Things) to monitor honey bees: “For the past 3 years, we have worked side by side with commercial and hobbyist beekeepers in the U.S. and Ireland to develop our remote beehive monitoring system, collating over 15 million data sets.''
