Reopening Advice: Steps to Take Before Turning on the Taps
As businesses begin to re-open, there are a number of steps that business owners can take to help ensure water and wastewater systems in their buildings are safe before reopening. Serious water quality and public health hazards can develop in the water and cooling systems of buildings that have been closed or under-used for a period of time, including Legionnaires disease. The maintenance team at CityBreak have been installing hand sanitiser dispensers across Dublin over the past few weeks. The firm can install dispensers in allocated locations and top-up each dispenser with anti-bacterial fluid. The cost of a dispenser, including installation, is €139 + VAT per unit, while hand santiser is €69 + VAT per 5 litres. The firm said it also has a number of corporate and medium stay apartments available at the moment, with flexible terms and parking on request.

The Centre for Advanced Photonics and Process Analysis (CAPPA) announced that Researcher Dr Steven Darby was recently part of the team, which worked to define the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) standards for barrier masks. The NSAI standard for barrier masks was recently published and provides important information for manufacturers and consumers in relation to barrier masks.
