Dublin Chamber's International team are involved in a European project targeting the Retail Industry and assisting retailers to future proof their business models. We are asking for the expertise of experienced retailers to assist us with testing and checking the information developed in the e-commerce module. More about the project here.

On 1 January 2021, Portugal took over the Council Presidency. Under the Portuguese Council Presidency, the priorities for the next six months will focus on fighting poverty, exclusion and inequality, implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights, as well as on the social summit to debate a fair post-pandemic recovery.

Portugal will work closely with Germany and Slovenia to realise the objectives set out in the joint 18-month Council Presidency programme . It is the fourth time that Portugal takes on the Presidency of the Union.

Other important topics including ecological and digital transitions across industry and services are key aspects of Portugal’s 6-month term before the Presidency passes to Slovenia in July 2021.
