This was the Chamber’s largest ever Brussels mission, with thirty-seven delegates and over eighty attendees at KBC’s dinner.
Over a busy two day schedule, the delegation heard from distinguished speakers such as István Pál Szekey a Director in DG Economic and Financial and a member of Ireland’s troika. Mr Szekey spoke about the Commission’s view on the Irish economy and the challenges we face ahead. Other speakers included Jonathan Taylor of the European Investment Bank, Marie Donnelly a Director in DG Energy, Ambassador Tom Hanney, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ireland to the EU

Dublin Chamber plans to make a return visit in 2014, hoping to build on this year’s successes and continue to nurture the business relationship between Dublin and Brussels.
