Greece Elects First Female President
International News

History was made in Greece last week as the Hellenic Republic of Greece swore in their first female president, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. After being elected to the role of president on 22nd January, Sakellaropoulou will hold the Greek head of state for a five year term. In one of the broadest cross-party majorities in Greek history - 261 MPs voted in her favour in the 300 seat parliament.
