Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for Business an Overview

Consumer disputes can have a high cost when court proceedings are the only options. Out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms can provide cheap, simple and quick solutions to your consumer disputes. It can also be a tool for maintaining your business reputation and preserving customer trust.  “Out of court” schemes are now being looked by the European Commission, in a move to boost the confidence of consumers when shopping in other European countries. This session will provide you with the latest information on ADR.

About the Speakers

Lynnsey Delaney has been a Dispute Resolution Advisor at ECC Ireland since May 2009. Having qualified with an LLB in Law and European Studies in University Limerick, she completed her LLM Masters of Law in Trinity College, where she undertook further study in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Shaun O'Shea is a managing partner of Beauchamps Solicitors and works in the corporate and commercial law section. Prior to this he was head of the corporate division for many years. Shaun is an accredited mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).
